Challenges
Working with an offline developers : Though a little stressful at times, the developers came through.
Planning & designing the templates
The plan was to come up with 3 different design templates, which was there earlier. But the design should be such that the content will work seamlessly across the three templates. The templates should be responsive as well.
User Flow
Design
Users are given a choice of three template, with pre-filled content as a guide. They can edit the content as well as preview the page in mobile & desktop version as they are designing the page.
Create account / Login
After the user is done editing & finishing the content, they are given a choice to save their work & buy, which requires going through a Create Account process. They are given a choice to use their Google or FB or create an account through email/pwd flow.
Dashboard
After buying the template, dashboard is where the user manages the rights to the site. They can edit the URL, edit the template, set the permissions to post condolences (public or private). If the permissions for posting the condolences are set to private, the user needs to enter the email addresses of the invitees. Condolences section is where the user can moderate (approve/disapprove) the posted condolences.
Adding a Condolence
The retail user can browse & post a condolence. Even upload a picture of the time spent with the deceased. The message will then appear on the site, if approved by the super user.
